Good day to you all. I hope you guys are all fine. I'm here to make a proposition. The roleplay is quite slow right now and this prevents a lot of you from rping. You may know that there is a gathering scheduled for this weekend and that's quite impossible to have when a lot of cats are out on patrol. There have been other problems with this elsewhere as well - cats who can't participate in important events because they're already involved in something else.
To avoid this problem, I'm proposing liquid time with great reluctance. Liquid time in rp allows your cat to be doing multiple things at once. Your cat could be on a hunting patrol as well as a gathering. Of course it would be a challenge but there will be some regulations. For example, a cat can only be 2 or 3 places at once. And it should correlate with the roleplay.
So, what do you think? Make sure to voice your opinion below and vote.

I say yes, but only for important events like gatherings and seer meetings. Maybe ceremonies too.

If we implement liquid time -which I think will overall be the best decision- I propose we might either do what Ariento says, or implement a more structured system. If a character can be in multiple threads, they obviously shouldn't be able to be in two threads that are happening at the same time (for example, a hunting patrol and a border patrol that were sent out at the same time). However, it feels unfair to have a character stuck in just one thread until it is completely finished, since not every member has time or is able to put out quick and prompt responses. Sometimes people may go completely inactive. One set of characters might finish up three threads before another set even finishes one, yet they will still age a moon regardless. Personally, none of my characters have made it through a full rp day as of yet. I've noticed a lot of people do put the IRL date started in the title of threads which could be a good start to something. Maybe there could be some kind of in-character calendar and phase of day? Something similar to Harvest Moon, so its like each season (Greenleaf, Leaf-fall, Leaf-bare, Newleaf) is represented by a 30 day month. The phase of day would be more like sun-high and moon-high kind of deal. So it'd be like in the first post of a new thread you'd put something like "Greenleaf 14, moonhigh" and so any characters in that thread can't be in another thread that has the same time. You and the mods could schedule the rp calendar so only mods start threads for plot days. It'd looks something like this: Month: Greenleaf Year 1
| 1 General RP | 2 General RP | 3 PLOT BATTLE, RiverClan attacks Sunningrocks | 4 General RP | 5 General RP | 6 General RP | 7 (WC) Smallkit apprentice ceremony , General RP | 8 General RP | 9 General RP | 10 General RP | 11 General RP, (SC) Darkpaw, Ratpaw, Graypaw assessment and warrior ceremony, General RP | 12 General RP | 13 PLOT, rats attack ShadowClan | 14 General RP | 15 PLOT Seer Meeting | 16 (TC) Poppypaw assessment and warrior ceremony, General RP | 17 General RP | 18 General RP | 19 General RP | 20 General RP | 21 General RP | 22 General RP | 23 General RP | 24 General RP | 25 General RP | 26 (RC) Stonekit, Pebblekit apprentice ceremony, General RP | 27 General RP | 28 General RP | 28 General RP | 29 General RP | 30 PLOT, Gathering |

When there is a plot day, players can not start rps of any of the days after until the plot thread (which could last up to a week or so) is finished. This gives players some time to finish up any general rps before moving on. The orange are ceremonies are more minor plots. this is just the start of an idea im not sure exactly how well it would work out, already there could be some potential problems where if you were in a rp that started Greenleaf 9 there could be inconsistencies if your character was in a Greenleaf 10 thread that finishes earlier (ig: Greenleaf 9, Frogpaw is hunting with Thornpaw Greenleaf 10 Frogpaw is hunting with Thrushpaw and Thrushpaw asks if something is wrong with Thornpaw, this thread finishes first and Frogpaw tells them there is nothing wrong Greenleaf 9, Thornpaw tells Frogpaw something is wrong, and since the later date thread is already finished, Frogpaw can't tell Thrushpaw) even if it is something more minor, still could have issues possibly there might be a separate calendar for each clan? edit: also idk how to format tables lmao its supposed to have the borders so it looks like a calendar

I don't usually like the idea of liquid time, but I think if we did do it, I like kiwistickers' idea. That way it'd at least save a bit of the confusion and inconsistencies that come from characters doing multiple things at once.
