Username: Blue
Name: Sorrelpaw
Age: 6 moons
Rank: Apprentice
Gender: Female
Personality: Sorrelpaw is generally speaking a cat of good spirits and high energy. She is quick to smile and slow to succumb to sadness, persistently pleasant in the face of grumpiness or gruffness. Sorrelpaw is a strange blend of introvert and extrovert, thriving on the company of her clanmates and most comfortable lounging beside her denmates and listening to the general chatter of camp. Sorrelpaw expends a lot of energy throughout the day, bounding around camp and working hard and recharges her energy in the general buzz of a nighttime camp, curled up close to a loved one. She is seldom without some kind of company, whether its a friend or a sibling and finds she quite enjoys the company but there are times when Sorrelpaw will feel bold or pensive and strike out on her own to contemplate the abstract or dreamlike. Sorrelpaw can at times be still enough to sit and contemplate the stars or energetic enough to run circles around her mentor but it all depends on the particular tide of the day. Sorrelpaw is a people-pleaser, going out of her way to smooth over conflicts and play the peacekeeper between warring parties and working as hard as she can to make her mentor proud. She works diligently and often clumsily toward her goals, cheerfully plodding away at mundane tasks, chatting with whoever is nearby, happy as a lark.
Facing challenges often with stubbornness, Sorrelpaw will work to exhaustion to attempt to overcome and struggles with the idea that there will be things she can not overcome. Her general chipperness can be quite frustrating to Sorrelpaw's clanmates but as with most things she simply smiles and goes on. At her most content Sorrelpaw is pleasantly sore from a long day's work, curled up with good friends and basking in the company of her clan. She enjoys the sense of connectedness clan life offers her and shakes in fear at the idea of isolation or abandonment. Failure, of any sort, that could lead her to isolation is perhaps Sorrelpaw's greatest nightmare. It is perhaps this underlying fear of failure and abandonment that makes Sorrelpaw so social, constantly showing affection to her friends and staying close to them.

Detailed Appearance: Petite in youth, Sorrelpaw will grow to be a mid-sized she-cat. She is a calico by coloration, predominately white with marbled ginger and black around the back of her head, spine and down her tail. Her pelt is the dense, plush RiverClan staple, designed to be moderately waterproof. Jade green eyes and the soft roundness of Sorrelpaw's face give her a gentile appearance. It's quite likely that at some point Sorrelpaw will leave warrior life for that of a queen as she's built well for carrying kits, not terribly petite but gentle enough to handle delicate little ones. Sorrelpaw currently, being quite young, is more on the petite side than some of her peers and certainly is far smaller than her warrior clanmates which means training is often quite a comedy. Being so young, Sorrelpaw is also quite clumsy although it's up for debate whether this trait is due to youth and constant growing or if it's just Sorrelpaw being Sorrelpaw. As an adult Sorrelpaw's dense fur will provide sufficient waterproofing to make her a decent swimmer while the rich coloration of her pelt makes her stand out as characteristically RiverClan.
History: Sorrelkit was born into a litter of three, her two brothers being Eaglekit and Foxkit. She was the last born and smallest in the litter, dwarfed easily by Eaglekit and Foxkit. Her parents, Patchstream and Mudstep were both concerned at first due to the size difference in their kits but were soon relieved when not only did Sorrelkit grow but she thrived. Though still petite compared to her siblings, Sorrelkit was vivacious and energetic, more than capable of keeping up with her rambunctious brothers during playtime. Elders found her delicate balance of mischief and politeness endearing, enough to forgive some of her youthful transgressions. Her mother swears Sorrelkit's big green eyes saved her from more than one skinning during her nursery days. Sorrelkit proved a dutiful story listener as she grew older, easily enchanted by the tales of StarClan heroes and mischievous Petalfall. While her brothers were more likely to scoff and romp away to wrestle, Sorrelkit would sit quietly enchanted by the elders telling their tales and would take some of the stories back to the younger kits, acting out dramatized old battles and making up voices for each character. Younger kits were quite thrilled with Sorrelkit's more energetic retellings, even if they weren't exactly accurate, and the elders would roll their eyes at her ridiculous bouncing around. Now a newly named apprentice, Sorrelpaw and her brothers have begun their journey to become warriors, Sorrelpaw perhaps a bit more enthused about the idea than her brothers, still starstruck from the elders glorified tales.
Roleplay Sample: Sorrelkit's world was a whirlwind of colors, golden sunlight streaking into the mid-afternoon nursery. A squeal of delight escaped the young calico kit as she tumbled across the floor, Foxkit growling playfully off to the side where she couldn't see him as Sorrelkit tumbled with Eaglekit. Her brother's heftier size gave him an obvious advantage but Sorrelkit held on for the right, delighting in Eaglekit's boisterous laugher. Finally Sorrelkit came to a stop, flat on her back, wind pressed out of her lungs as Eaglekit crowed his victory above her. Growling, or more like squeaking, Sorrelkit made a swipe at Eaglekit's tufted ears, wriggling against the warm ground and gently kicking at Eaglekit's thickly furred belly.
"Come on Sorrelkit!" Foxkit mewed, prancing off to the left, tail waving as he waited for his chance to wrestle the victor. "You're not even trying!"
"Yes I am! Not my fault Eaglekit's so big!" Sorrelkit squealed, missing her brother's whiskers by a mile as she made a blind swipe at his head.
A lightly raspy purr immediately put a stop to Eaglekit's attempts to smother his sister. All three kits turned to look, Sorrelkit tipping her head back as far as it could go and grinning at the upside down figure of her mother, Patchstream. The calico and white she-cat settled herself off to the side, tufted tail curling lazily around her paws as she watched her kits play. Taking advantage of Eaglekit's distraction, Sorrelkit slipped out of his grip and scampered to her feet, bounding over to Patchstream and butting her head against her mother's chest. Patchstream purred louder and licked Sorrelkit's ears.
"Playtime's over now," Patchstream said as Eaglekit and Foxkit joined them. "Your grandfather's awake, we'll take him a trout to share and maybe he'll tell a story if you're good."
"Yes!" Sorrelkit mewed, bouncing in place at the thought of her grandfather's stories, too excited to acknowledge Eaglekit and Foxkit grumbling about their abandoned wrestling match.
"Come along," Patchstream beckoned, waving her tail as she rose, leading her kits out of the nursery with Sorrelkit bouncing around her paws as they went to the elder's den.
Other: First time on this site so forgive me if I mix up any of the lore, I'm trying to keep all of it straight. Foxpaw and Eaglepaw will be put up for adoption.
