Name:
Rooknose
Age:
39 moons
Rank:
Seer
Gender:
Molly
Personality:
Rooknose is a thoughtful and creative cat, often gazing upon the world with a more artistic eye than the typical WindClanner. To some extent, she seems to have her head in the clouds, and is easily recognized as an introvert even by WindClan's "antisocial" standards. She is a selective mute, capable of talking, yet only does so when absolutely necessary. Her closest friends would still be lucky to hear her utter a word, although she still has the depth of communication to share most of her thoughts through body language or even just through the understanding connection that comes with bonding.
Due to a mix of the burdens of being a Seer, lack of socialization, her upbringing and the loss of her mentor and best friend, Rooknose occasionally struggles with depressive bouts. But despite that, Rooknose believes there is beauty in everyone and everything. Her experiences have led her to develop a sort of optimistic shell, a fragment of her kit-self.
Despite her lack of speech she is a good companion in that she is willing to listen and truly does care about every cat-- even, to some extent, those in other clans, although she is loyal to WindClan first. She is slow to trust and rarely opens up, if at all, but whenever she has time she is willing to lend an ear to anyone in need, and is willing to sacrifice for those in need.

Detailed Appearance:
Rooknose is a slender and lithe tortie with a mostly brownish-red pelt and dull green eyes. She lacks the average WindClan cat's muscle buildup, for the most part, due to lack of participation in typical Warrior tasks. Her pelt is rarely seen unkempt, and to some extent her lean figure, cleanliness, and lack of marks from battle or work would have her regarded as somewhat of a beauty by typical standards.
History:
Rookkit was a cheerful, happy-go-lucky cat, born to a molly named Tawnyfoot and a tom named Rabbittail. She was energetic but hardly interested in the life of a Warrior, and instead turned to the allure of the mystic life of a Seer. However, when she was three moons old, Rabbittail admitted to the Clan that he was not the birth-father of she or her two brothers, and that Tawnyfoot had mated with a rogue.
Disciplinary actions were taken against her mother, who made no claims against what Rabbittail had said, but the mother of three grew bitter towards her children. With their true heritage visible to the Clan, Rookkit became self-conscious and reserved and distressed due to her mother's treatment after the secret was revealed. A moon later, Tawnyfoot attacked Rabbittail after a heated fight outside camp, and Rookkit's mother left the Clan rather than continue to be judged by her peers for birthing the kits of a rogue and rejected her offspring. Rookkit and her sibling's raising was shared by other queens, who were at least willing to encourage them that their lineage was not their fault, but subconsciously putting them down by implying that their lineage was bad.
It didn't take long for her to mellow out, but she became determined to follow the path of Seer that had already caught her eye both to live a reserved life and to prove herself as an invaluable asset to her Clan rather than be the kit of now two rogues. Rookkit, now Rookpaw, fell into a state of almost never speaking and rarely interacted with anyone else. However, she and her mentor Jaynose grew close, and Rookpaw learned everything she could to learn all the ins and outs of being a Seer. She was highly intuitive and learned fast, and developed a deep connection with her mentor, Jaynose.
Jaynose was similar to an extroverted version of herself, but their talents similarly aligned. Rookpaw was given the warrior name Rooknose, which she took to be a symbol of the bond with her closest friend, admittedly many moons older than her. Moons later, however, Jaynose died in the middle of a night from a seizure. It was one of the last straws for Rooknose, after which she near completely isolated herself from her Clan. She spoke to Mossstar regarding her duties as Seer when it was direly important, but for moons after Jaynose's death, that was it.
In more recent days, she has begun to be more open to interaction with her Clanmates again, and has improved substantially. Despite-- or perhaps as a result of --her isolation she quickly became an adept Seer and developed a reputation within the Clan as the cat who never spoke, ever, but whose word would be a mistake to disregard.
Roleplay Sample:
Hollypaw's eyes blinked open. She lifted her head and yawned before ticcing in a way that made her appear to sneeze a few times in rapid succession. When she stopped, she shook her head and then analyzed her surroundings before suddenly shooting up and out of her nest. "Oh no! What time is it?" she hissed under her breath. "I overslept! Hopefully no one was looking for me..." She quickly ran outside and sat next to the den, a calm look on her face as she pretended to have been there all along. Her tail shot back and forth, up and down, a combination of Tourettes and just being nervous.
She'd trained extra hard yesterday. That was her only real excuse, and it didn't really count. Despite her wishes, she remained silent and still, first waiting to see if anyone would yell at or call for her after being asleep for so long.
